you can buy.

Faster installation. Lower lifetime cost. Better warranty. Less maintenance. Here's why more Florida homeowners are choosing fiberglass and never looking back.

The numbers speak for themselves.

We're not here to bash other pool types, concrete has its place. But when you line up the facts, fiberglass wins on nearly every metric.

Engineering

Four layers. One unbreakable pool.

Every Barrier Reef pool is handcrafted with four specialized layers. Each designed for a specific purpose. The result is a pool that's stronger than concrete, more durable than vinyl, and gets stronger with age.

1

Shimmer Finish Gel Coat

The surface you see and touch. UV-resistant, fade-proof, and developed in Australia to handle the harshest conditions. Non-porous. Won't harbor algae or stains.

2

Vinyl Ester Resin

The waterproofing membrane. Keeps water in and protects against osmosis, corrosion, and chemical damage. The heart of your pool's longevity.

3

Fiberglass Reinforcement

Where the strength lives. Multiple layers of chopped fiberglass stranding combined with structural resins. Exceeds American standards and ICC compliance.

4

Flow Coat Seal

The final bond. Sprayed and rolled while still curing to eliminate air pockets. Locks all layers together for a structure that gets stronger with age.

Fiberglass pool installation in progress

Let's clear the air.

Every myth about fiberglass pools: debunked with facts, not opinions.

Fiberglass pools pop out of the ground

Physically impossible with water in the pool. A pool with water cannot float. Basic physics. This applies to all pool types equally.

Fiberglass pools crack

Fiberglass flexes up to 12 inches with soil movement. Concrete is rigid and cracks under the same conditions. Properly installed fiberglass will never crack.

They're flimsy and cheap

Fiberglass is 17x stronger than concrete. It's the same material used in boats, aircraft, and race cars. If it handles the ocean, it handles your backyard.

Very limited designs

We offer 25+ models in 6 colors: rectangles, freeforms, beach entries, plunge pools, sport pools, and models up to 40 feet with built-in spas and tanning ledges.

The honest take.

We're not going to pretend fiberglass is perfect for everyone. If you need a 60-foot free-form pool with a grotto and a swim-up bar, concrete is your only option. But for the other 95% of homeowners? Fiberglass delivers a better pool, faster, with less hassle, at a lower total cost. And we stand behind every one with a lifetime warranty.
